  • The Jar of Tears: A Memorial for the Rebbe of the Warsaw Ghetto

    This award winning storytelling performance is based on the life of Rabbi Kalonymus Kalman Shapiro, known as the Rebbe of the Warsaw Ghetto.  Rabbi Shapiro wrote sermons while confined in the ghetto and slowly developed a creative theology of weeping.

    This performance reimagines his sermons as a series of personal letters addressed to the Master of the World. To find out more, click here.
